PORTLAND (2010 FIBA World Championship) - LeBron James has yet to confirm if he will play for Team USA at the 2010 FIBA World Championship in Turkey.
His 41-point, 10-rebound and eight-assist performance in Cleveland's 106-94 win at Portland on Sunday showed why the Americans are hoping he’ll make it to Istanbul.
James was one of the leaders for the United States in their gold-medal romp at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 and his presence in Turkey would bolster a squad seeking its first world title since 1994.
The United States will take on Croatia, Slovenia, Iran, Brazil and Tunisia in Preliminary Round Group B in Turkey.
