MILWAUKEE (2010 FIBA World Championship) – Milwaukee Bucks big man Andrew Bogut will have to wait between two and four weeks before resuming what had been his best year in the NBA so far after hurting his left leg in Thursday's win over New Jersey.
The Australia center, expected to represent the Boomers next year at the FIBA World Championship, suffered a strain and a contusion in his lower leg.
Bogut had been averaging a career best 16.1 points, 9.2 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game for the surprising Bucks, who are 6-3.
The 24-year-old, who is in his fifth NBA season, made a comment about the injury on his Twitter page, saying: "So down about the Injury. Can only control getting it stronger and better day by day. Hopefully be back on the court asap."
