Results Upload

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR TOURNAMENT ORGANIZERS: Uploading your tournament results is indispensable to become part of FIBA's 3x3 competition network and have your tournament count for ranking purposes. We want to encourage every 3x3 tournament organizer to use FIBA's 3x3 competition management tool since it includes an automatic result upload for ranking purposes. However, FIBA has developed two alternative ways to upload results of your tournaments from which you can choose:

1. For organisers with an automated system or own database
CSV files (.zip)
This import type is designed for tournament organisers who already have an automatic system or own database in use. They can export their data to the CSV template mentioned above to ensure a smooth import to the new FIBA 3x3 database. A promoter can use the combined CSV version or the distinct CSV files. In the combined version, each row will represent a competition-team-athlete-game entry, containing all necessary information for a successful import. The distinct files split those information into different subgroups.

2. For organisers who normally capture their results on a paper sheet or in Excel
XLS file (.zip)
The XLS file is designed for single tournaments / small tournaments and organisers who store their results e.g. in own XLS files. The XLS has an example / explanation sheet, containing all necessary information on which data has to be put into which field.

Sending your tournament results will also become mandatory in 2012. Only organizers sending the tournament result in a timely manner will be accepted in FIBA's 3x3 family. Please send your data to 3x3@fiba.com in order to trigger the import process of your tournament.

FAQ – Results upload:

Q: There is a column “Promoter” . I do not have this information (in my database). What should I do?
A: Promoter is your name or the name of your company.

Q: What should I enter for “Tour”?
A: If you have only a one time tournament or only one tournament per season, just enter the name of your tournament here. If you have multiple tournaments and these tournaments count together or have an overall result but your tour / cup has no name, then enter your name as “Tour”.

Q: In my tournament I have a competition for senior men, senior women, u18 men and u18 women. Should I add all competitions into one set of CSV file (or to one XLS)?
A: No, please treat each competition separately.
