House of Basketball
IBF has built and is managing FIBA's new headquarters, the 'House of Basketball' in the Swiss village of Mies, a 10-minute drive from Geneva international airport..
It houses an underground parking and storage, a complete floor for FIBA's administrative staff, a conference centre, an exhibition hall including the FIBA Hall of Fame and the Pedro Ferrandiz library.
The building is shaped like a hand, one of the key elements of FIBA's visual identity. It also incorporates a steel structure reminiscent of the woven basketball net.
The building is situated on a 8,500 square metre plot of land on the shores of Lake Geneva with a view of the lake and the alps.
