USA blast past Argentina into Quarters

HERAKLION (2015 FIBA U19 World Championship) - Reigning champions United States breezed into the Quarter-Finals of the 2015 FIBA U19 World Championship with a 93-45 blowout of Argentina. Every USA player scored and 11 of the 12 grabbed at least one rebound. The Americans will face off against Italy in the Quarters.

Turning Point: The USA were leading 15-8 when they went on an 11-2 run for a 26-10 lead and were never threatened again.

Stats Don't Lie: The USA won the battle of the boards 53 rebounds to 27 while scoring 48 points in the paint to 14 for Argentina. The reigning champs also got 52 points from the bench while Argentina’s reserves had 26.

Game Hero: Harry Giles notched another double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds.

The Bottom Line: The United States remained perfect at the U19 Worlds with an average winning margin of 35.5 points. Italy is the next team hoping to beat the Americans. Argentina will play against Dominican Republic in the Classification 9-16 round.
