CASTRIES - Patrick Haynes, Vice President of Finance & Marketing of the Caribbean Basketball Confederation (CBC), flew to St Lucia for a site visit last weekend. Along with Mr. Leslie Collymore and Velica Augustin, respectively the President and Secretary General of the St Lucian Basketball federation, they chose the site where the international youth 3x3 tournament will take place on the 25th and 26th of February.

He also met with the Honourable Mr. Edmund Estephane, Minister for Youth Development and Sports who fully supports St. Lucia for hosting the international tournament.

Arrangement for the tournament are being finalised and St Lucia will soon be ready to host the youths from the surrounding countries that won their national qualifiers.

For the girl’s tournament, following teams will be making the trip to St Lucia: Curacao, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Sint Maarten, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Trinidad and Tobago.

Teams from Antigua & Barbuda, Aruba, Barbados, Curacao, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Martinique, Sint Maarten, St. Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago and St. Vincent and the Grenadines will be represented in the boy’s tournament.
