PR N°22 - Climax of 2015 FIBA U19 World Championship to air in 90 countries and territories

HERAKLION (2015 FIBA U19 World Championship) - FIBA on Thursday announced that the Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, Third-Place Game and Final of the 2015 FIBA U19 World Championship will be broadcast in 90 countries and territories across the globe.

The action at the event held in Heraklion (Crete), Greece is reaching its climax.

The Quarter-Finals take place on Friday, with the Semi-Finals to follow on Saturday and both the Third-Place Game and Final on Sunday.

The USA are the defending champions, having won the last edition of the tournament in 2013. They are looking to successfully defend their U19 title for the first time since 1983.

The Classification 9-16 games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and the Classification 5-8 games on Saturday and Sunday can all be watched on FIBA's YouTube Channel (geo-blocking may apply in some countries and territories).

The FIBA U19 World Championship, formerly known as the FIBA World Championship for Junior Men, is where the stars of tomorrow are born.

Superstars such as Dejan Bodiroga, Juan Carlos Navarro, Andrei Kirilenko, Andrew Bogut, Nicolas Batum, Stephen Curry and Jonas Valanciunas have all shone bright in past editions of this championship.

The inaugural event took place in Brazil in 1979. Staged every four years from 1979 to 2007, it has been held every two years since 2009.
