One more win for Warriors will be historic
OAKLAND (NBA) - The Golden State Warriors are making history with their blistering start to the season.
Led by their USA international superstar and reigning NBA MVP, Stephen Curry, and fellow world champion Klay Thompson, the defending champions beat the Denver Nuggets on Sunday to clinch a 15th straight victory and equal the best start in league history.

Both the Washington Capitols in the 1948-49 campaign and the Hakeem Olajuwon-led Houston Rockets in 1993-94 won 15 games in a row before falling to their first defeats.

Golden State will take aim at a 16th straight triumph on Tuesday when they host the Los Angeles Lakers.
"We want to take it to the next level when we get home," said Curry, who had 19 points.
Assistant coach Luke Walton, who is filling in for head coach Steve Kerr while he recovers from a back operation, started five members of national teams.
There was Andrew Bogut of Australia and also Curry, Thompson and two players from this summer's USA Basketball Showcase, Draymond Green and Harrison Barnes.
The four Americans combined to shoot 12 of 22 from three-point range.
Another USA Olympic champion, Andre Iguodala, is in the team and he drilled two of three shots from the arc.
Curry did not just take and make shots from long range but also showed off of other skills, collecting one of his seven assists with an alley-oop pass to Bogut.

When the Lakers arrive at the Oracle Arena, the atmosphere will be electric.
The Warriors and their raucous fans have been sky high since beating the Cleveland Cavaliers last season to capture their first NBA crown since 1975.
"When you see the kind of support that we get when we are at home or on the road, it's unbelievable," Curry said.
The world does indeed stop in Oakland whenever the Warriors play.

The players are loving life at the moment.
They are champions and looking unbeatable.
They enjoy waking up each day to go to practice or games.
What could be better than to play for the best team in the NBA?
Thompson's main aim is to win another title but breaking records along with the way would make the season even sweeter.
"It would be a cool milestone," Thompson said.
"Shows how special this team can be."
