Fans choose Kilganon and Krivenko to dunk at FIBA 3x3 All Stars Dunk Contest

MIES (FIBA 3x3 All Stars) - Jordan 'Mission Impossible' Kilganon (CAN) and Dmitry 'Smoove' Krivenko (UKR) were selected by fans to feature at the FIBA 3x3 All Stars Dunk Contest in Doha, Qatar on 11 December 2015, following a contest organised on all FIBA 3x3 Social Media Channels. With Krivenko injured, Kristaps Dargais (LAT) will earn his ticket to Doha.

Kilganon dominated the contest and his mixtape drew over 16,000 views on YouTube, Youku and Tencent. The 23-year-old gained internet stardom after posting videos of his dunks, including the amazing 'Scorpion Dunk' which Kilganon nailed at last year's FIBA 3x3 All Stars Dunk Contest.

Dargais was the inaugural winner of the FIBA 3x3 All Stars Dunk Contest (in 2013) and is considered one of the best one-legged dunkers in the world.

For the third edition of the FIBA 3x3 All Stars, the dunk contest will transform into battle between the two powerhouses of dunking: the Americas and Europe.

The Americas will be represented by Kilganon and the shortest professional dunker in the world, Porter 'What’s Gravity?!' Maberry (USA).

Team Europe will feature Kristaps Dargais and four-time FIBA 3x3 World Tour dunk champ Rafal 'Lipek' Lipinski (POL).

The contest will start with a coin toss between the two teams and the winner will choose which two dunkers will battle it out first with three dunks each. The other two dunkers will follow with three dunks as well. In case of tie, one dunker from each team will come back for one last dunk, leading to a majority decision of the jury.

Lipek and Kilganon have established one of the biggest rivalries in dunking after the Polish high-riser beat 'Mission Impossible' at the 2014 FIBA 3x3 All Stars Dunk Contest. The Canadian got his revenge at the 2015 Sprite Kings of Air in Riga, Latvia. However Lipek won their last encounter at the 2015 FIBA 3x3 World Tour Final Dunk Contest in Abu Dhabi on 16 October 2015.
