SAN JUAN (2015 FIBA Americas U16 Championship) - The draw for the 2015 FIBA Americas U16 Championship was held at the headquarters of FIBA Americas in San Juan, Puerto Rico on Friday.

The tournament will take place in Bahia Blanca, Argentina from 10-14 June and will feature the national teams of Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Puerto Rico, USA and Venezuela

The results of the draw are as follows:
Group A: USA, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico
Group B: Canada, Mexico, Venezuela, Argentina

The first phase of the tournament will be played in a round robin format, with each team taking on its three (3) opponents in its respective group. The top two (2) teams from each group will qualify for the Semi-Finals, with the first-placed team from Group A taking on the second-placed team from Group B and vice-versa. The winners will meet in the Final, with the losers squaring off in the Third-Place Game.

The top four teams at the 2015 FIBA Americas U16 Championship will qualify for the 2016 FIBA U17 World Championship.
