Chile finalize squad for Edmonton 2015

SANTIAGO (2015 FIBA ​​Americas Women's Championship) - Chile coach Richi Gonzelez has announced his final squad for the FIBA Americas Women's Championship.

Ziomara Morrison, who led the team in scoring and rebounding at the event two years ago, and Vanessa Leeper are the headline names in the team.

The Chileans have been warming up for the big event in Canada with a four-game series against Ecuador, one of the countries that will play in Edmonton.

Gonzales' side won all four games.

Chile have travelled to Brazil to continue their build-up to Edmonton, where they play in Group A against the Dominican Republic, Canada, Cuba and Puerto Rico.

The FIBA Americas Women's Championship takes place from 9-16 August, with the winner clinching a place at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games, while the teams that end up second, third and fourth take berths in the FIBA Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament (WOQT).

Chile finalised roster for the 2015 FIBA Americas Women's Championship: Thiare Garcia, Dafne Bermudez, Sendy Basaez, Ziomara Morrison, Francisca Rojas, Marisol Gamboa, Barbara Cousino, Jenifer Fuentes, Catalina Abuyeres, Milena Koljanin, Angela Angotzi and Vanessa Leeper.
