Canada remain perfect, book spot in Last Eight with blowout of Korea

HERAKLION (2015 FIBA U19 World Championship) - Canada moved to within one victory of history as they booked a spot in the Quarter-Finals of the 2015 FIBA U19 World Championship with a 100-64 victory over Korea. Playing on Canada Day, Justin Jackson paced four players in double figures with 20 points for Canada, who have never reached the Semi-Finals of this tournament.

Turning Point: Canada were leading 48-42 but went on an 11-0 run over 3:35 minutes for a 59-42 advantage and never looked back.

Stats Don't Lie: Canada held Korea to 33 percent shooting and won the rebounding battle 56-41. Canada’s size advantage also helped them win points in the paint 68-30 while they also scored 42 fast break points to 12 for Korea.

Game Hero: Dillon Brooks was Mr Do-It-All for Canada with 19 points, nine rebounds, nine asists and two steals.

The Bottom Line: The Canadians will have to beat Croatia in the Final Eight to make history and reach the Semi-Finals. Korea enter the Classification 9-16 round against China with the aim of at least 10th place which would be a historical best in this competition.
