2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup bids - China's experience in hosting events

MIES (2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup) - On Friday 7 August, FIBA's Central Board will decide and announce who of the People's Republic of China or the Republic of the Philippines will host the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup.

China 2019 - Strong hosting experience ensures focus on promoting basketball around the world

As sport in China develops at a rapid pace, China and the eight host cities have built a vast experience in hosting major sporting events. From the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games, 2011 Summer Universiade in Shenzhen to the 2014 Nanjing Youth Olympic Games and the numerous international FIBA events, China will be prepared and able to deliver an outstanding World Cup in 2019.

Through hosting these events, China has developed proven systems in regards to transportation, security and medical and doping services that will ensure a hassle-free event for athletes, officials and spectators alike.
