WUHAN (2015 FIBA Asia Women's Championship) - Japan star player Ramu Tokashiki had a third reason to smile at the 2015 FIBA Asia Women's Championship in Wuhan after receiving the Most Valuable Player award, presented by Tissot.

Tokashiki played the pivotal role in taking Japan back to the top step of the podium as they etched a note of history by defending their title for the first time with a mesmerising 85-50 triumph against China.

It was a result which also booked her nation a place at next year's Olympic Games in Rio, with Japan benefitting from Tokashiki taking a break from WNBA action with Seattle Storm.

The 1.91m forward averaged 11.4 points and 6.0 rebounds per game and was joined in the All-Star Five by her team-mate Asami Yoshida who put in a captain's performance to underpin another glorious chapter.

Having missed last year's FIBA Women's World Championship in Turkey due to injury, the point guard came storming back to pick up where she left off - with a FIBA Asia Women's Championship title. Yoshida led all players in the tournament in assists, averaging an outstanding 5.1 per game.

The Japanese pair were joined in the All-Star Five by China's duo of Ting Shao and Mengran Sun, while Danbi Kim was rewarded for some eye-catching efforts in helping Korea take third place.
