Last three Quarter-Final tickets taken on exciting last night of Regular Season

MUNICH (EuroLeague Women) - Perfumerias Avenida, Tango Bourges Basket and Beretta Famila Schio all reached the Quarter-Finals of EuroLeague Women on a roller-coaster and dramatic day of the Regular Season.

There was high drama in Group B as newcomers Hatay endured heartache after just missing out in a three-way tie. They had looked well placed to advance as they stormed to a 69-51 win against Bourges as Katsiaryna Snytsina poured on 20 points alongside 19 from Bahar Ozturk.

Around the same time, Avenida led big against Nadezhda in Orenburg and had the Spanish side managed to hang on, it would have sent Hatay into the next phase.

Instead, Nadezhda posted a sensational run of 17 unanswered points to roar back and eventually take a 65-62 victory as Elizabeth Williams registered a near double-double of 16 points and 9 boards.

That meant the pendulum swung in favour of both Avenida and Bourges, who despite their last day defeats, were better placed than Hatay in the three-way tie. There was at least some consolation for the Turkish rookies, who will now parachute their way into the last eight of EuroCup Women.

It also meant the bitter-sweet experience of Avenida losing and yet celebrating a Quarter-Final place.

Not that head coach Miguel Ortega was overly thrilled with their late collapse and 26-10 last period.

He said: "We completely failed in the last quarter of this important final game when there was a most natural panic.

"We forgot about both the protection [of our basket] and also our offense," added Ortega.

The major issue still to be determined in Group A was who would take fourth place and the last ticket for the Quarter-Finals. It was Beretta Famila Schio who prevailed as newly-installed play-caller Mauro Procaccini enjoyed a winning start.

He masterminded a rousing 71-63 victory against ZVVZ USK Prague. Endene Miyem was the hero with a majestic 20-point haul from a brilliant 73 percent floor-shooting.

That result denied BLMA who had been in the box-seat, but crashed 77-61 at Wisla Can-Pack as Sandra Ygueravide completed a classy double-double of 15 points and 11 assists. BLMA will now join their Polish opponents in EuroCup Women.

Elsewhere, ESBVA-LM grabbed the 78-63 triumph they needed against Uniqa Sopron, which means they will play in the EuroCup Women Quarter-Finals next month. Alina Iagupova and Kamila Stepanova shared 36 points.

Also in Group B, first-placed UMMC powered their way past CCC Polkowice 94-57 with Emma Meesseman netting 20 points.

There was also a big win for Group A winners Dynamo Kursk, who finished unbeaten with a superb 14-0 record as they waltzed past Cargo CMB Uni Gyor 84-49 while second-placed Fenerbahce strolled past domestic rivals Mersin 75-52. Frontcourt trio Sandrine Gruda, Jantel Lavender and Anastasiya Verameyenka all scored 11 points.
