History for Mersin as Kursk survive test to stay perfect

MUNICH (EuroLeague Women) - Mersin staged a remarkable comeback to claim their first-ever EuroLeague Women victory with a 65-61 triumph over Famila Schio.

It was a torrid start for the Turkish side as they found themselves in a 0-17 hole after the opening six minutes.

However, Mersin gradually battled back and despite still trailing by double-digits at the end of the third, they put together a 13-0 start to the fourth to take the lead before holding on down the stretch.

Gintare Petronyte finished with 17 points and 12 rebounds to help Mersin end a run of 10 straight defeats in the competition.
