EuroLeague Women Quarter-Final pairings confirmed

MUNICH (EuroLeague Women) – The EuroLeague Women Quarter-Final pairings have been set, following the completion of the Regular Season on Wednesday evening.

All participants from the 2016 EuroLeague Women Final Four – Fenerbahce (TUR), Nadezhda (RUS), UMMC Ekaterinburg (RUS) and ZVVZ USK Prague (CZE) – remain in the race to return there in 2017. They are joined in the Quarter-Finals by Dynamo Kursk (RUS), Famila Schio (ITA), Perfumerias Avenida (ESP) and Tango Bourges Basket (FRA).

Perfumerias Avenida, Tango Bourges Basket and Hatay BB (TUR) finished the season with the same win-loss record, but in the three-way tie between the three clubs, Hatay BB had the worst points differential, meaning they finished Group B in fifth position.

Not all is lost for the Turkish club however, with the fifth and sixth-placed teams from each of the EuroLeague Women Regular Season groups moving into the EuroCup Women Quarter-Finals. The other three teams are Basket Lattes Montpellier (FRA), ESBVA-LM (FRA) and Wisla Can-Pack (POL).

The EuroLeague Women Quarter-Final pairings are as follows:

Dynamo Kursk vs. Bourges Basket

Nadezhda vs. ZVVZ USK Prague

Fenerbahce vs. Perfumerias Avenida

UMMC Ekaterinburg vs. Famila Schio

The EuroLeague Women Quarter-Finals will be contested as a best-of-three series. Should a deciding third game be required, the team listed first above has home-court advantage.

The Quarter-Finals are set to be played on March 7, March 10 and, if required, March 15.

For EuroCup Women, the four aforementioned teams will be joined in the Quarter-Finals by Round of 8 winners Galatasaray (TUR), Good Angels Kosice (SVK), Yakin Dogu Universitesi (TUR) and Bellona Agu (TUR).

A Draw will take place in Munich, Germany at 11:00 CET Thursday morning, to determine the EuroCup Women Quarter-Final pairings. All teams will be drawn from one pot. The Draw can be followed live on twitter.com/EuroCupWomen.
