Bilgic ready for the next step with Fenerbahce

ISTANBUL (EuroLeague Women 2017) – Fenerbahce have captured another player on course to be an important component for the Turkey national team in future years after bringing Pelin Bilgic to Istanbul from Adana.

Having already signed Ayse Cora from Besiktas, Fenerbahce have further boosted their scoring power from the backcourt with the addition of the highly-rated Bilgic who enjoyed a standout career for her country at youth level. She has since broken into the senior squad and played last November in the FIBA EuroBasket Women 2017 Qualifiers window.

She has also just posted a double-digit scoring record across the 2015-16 Turkish League season to underline her value, having played with Adana Botas for her entire career. She has also impressed most with her leadership and passing ability – handing out an eye-catching 3.7 assists per game last season.

Now she can look forward to making the next step and testing herself via a rookie year in EuroLeague Women. Bilgic previously played in EuroCup Women with Adana and made her debut back in 2011 when she was 17-years-old.
