Walker to headline Umana Reyer Venezia roster
VENEZIA (EuroCup Women 2017) – Ashley Walker is set to spearhead the EuroCup Women 2017 campaign of Umana Reyer Venezia after agreeing to make the switch from Italian champions, Beretta Famila Schio.
The powerful forward posted a productive debut EuroLeague Women campaign in 2015-16, registering 10.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game to help Schio rack up their best-ever Regular Season in the tournament.
Venezia have also agreed to a deal to bring Milica Micovic from another of their arch rivals in Passalacqua Ragusa. The guard has spent her entire career playing in Italy and will finally get an opportunity to play in EuroCup Women.

However, it could be the impressive degree of continuity which might just make Umana Reyer Venezia a team to watch as they have re-upped the core of their side – including the hugely influential duo of Ashleigh Fontenette and Marie Ruzickova, who last year led the way in scoring and rebounding.
There is also a return for captain Debora Carangelo, the ever-reliable frontcourt presence of Martina Sandri and guard, Caterina Dotto.
Venezia will tussle with Cavigal Nice Basket 06, Basket Landes and a club from the EuroCup Women Qualifiers when their season gets underway in late October.
