Olympiacos SFP make more noise with Larkins and Bartonova

ATHENS (EuroCup Women 2017) – Olympiacos are rapidly emerging as a strong candidate to win EuroCup Women Group D and perhaps even some silverware after adding more quality to their ranks.

The Greek champions have turned to WNBA powerhouse Erlana Larkins to swell their talent in the paint, with the forward having averaged double-digits with the Indiana Fever so far this summer.

Larkins previously played with Adana Aski and Mersin Buyuksehir in Turkey, while also spending some time in the Israeli League and in EuroLeague Women with Beretta Famila Schio.

Meanwhile Katerina Bartonova heads to Athens from BLK Praha, although also played much of 2015-16 with Piestanske Cajky – including six EuroCup Women outings.

The Czech Republic national team guard will bring energy to the table for an Olympiacos side which already boasts a string of star names.

They’ve already wrapped up deals with Greek veteran duo Evanthia Maltsi and Styliani Kaltsidou, while there is added EuroLeague Women and WNBA experience in the shape of Lynetta Kizer.

Olympiacos will compete in Group D of Conference 1 with Aluinvent DVTK Miskolc, Good Angels Kosice and a club from the EuroCup Women Qualifiers.
